Malaysian regional airline Firefly extended flight cancellations on its Kuala Lumpur–Singapore route through Wednesday, 14 October, Al Jazeera reported on 13 October.

The airline cited weather and regional haze in announcing the suspension. The report linked the regional smoke to forest fires in Indonesia.

The announcement applied to that particular Singapore route. It did not announce a shutdown of all Firefly services. Passengers should distinguish a route-specific disruption from a wider network suspension when checking their travel plans.
