The International Monetary Fund has projected 3.2% GDP growth for Bangladesh in the 2026–27 fiscal year. The Business Standard and Dhaka Tribune reported the figure after the October World Economic Outlook was published.
The forecast is below the IMF’s April projection of 4.3% and its revised July estimate of 3.5%. The latest outlook projects average inflation of 10.9% in the same fiscal year.
The Business Standard also reported separate FY27 growth projections of 3.4% from the World Bank and 4% from the Asian Development Bank. These are forecasts from different institutions, rather than a measurement of the final economic outcome.
