The drives ran from 11 to 17 October. Officials seized gold bars and ornaments worth about Tk 98.61 lakh, along with 589 litres of liquor, 2,923 cartons of cigarettes and 350 e-cigarettes, according to an NBR press release issued on Sunday.

They also seized 92 mobile phones, 315 kilogrammes of medicines and 286 kilogrammes of imported skin-whitening creams that are banned in Bangladesh.
