Students preparing for the 2027 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination can fill in their forms online from 16 November, after the Dhaka Education Board announced the schedule.

The board said candidates can submit forms online without a late fee from 16 to 23 November. Those who miss that window can still complete the process from 24 to 29 November by paying a late fee. A provisional list of candidates will be published on the board's website on 15 November, before the window opens.

The form fill-up fee for regular science students has been fixed at Tk2,435. Candidates in business studies and humanities will pay Tk2,315.

Fees must be paid by 24 November for forms submitted without a late fee. Candidates using the late window pay Tk100 extra each and must deposit their fees by 30 November.

The board warned that no money beyond the fixed fees may be collected from students, and that any institution found charging extra will face action under the rules.

The notice also set conditions for different groups of candidates. GPA improvement is open only to students who sat every subject in the 2026 SSC examination, passed but scored below GPA-5, and still hold a valid registration. They must sit the full 2026 syllabus and submit certified photocopies of their earlier admit card and academic transcript with the printed form.

Students who were expelled may take the 2027 examination as irregular candidates if their punishment period has ended and their registration is still valid, and they must sit all subjects.

The notice explains the fourth-subject benefit for students registered in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years, and sets out which syllabus applies to each group. Irregular and improvement candidates will sit papers set on the 2025 and 2026 syllabuses, while regular candidates will follow the 2027 syllabus for their class.

A selection, or test, examination is compulsory for nearly all students, except GPA-improvement candidates and those who have already failed an SSC examination. Schools must send continuous-assessment marks and practical examination marks to the board online, and hand in the original handwritten mark sheets to the board's secondary examination branch.
